Request Deletion of Your Gramob Account

You can request deletion of your Gramob Passenger or Driver account using this page, even if you have uninstalled the app. Select your account type, verify your identity, and submit your deletion request.

1. Your account

Which account do you want to delete?

The Indian mobile number you signed in with. We will text you a 4-digit code to confirm it is yours.

What happens when you delete your account

Deletion is immediate. There is no waiting period and no further email to confirm: as soon as you confirm on this page, the account is closed and you can no longer sign in to it. What is removed, and what has to stay, depends on which account you delete.

Passenger accounts

Deleted straight away: your name, profile photo, gender and home city; your saved places, such as Home and Work; your favourite drivers; your emergency contacts and any SOS alerts; every device registered for notifications, so notifications stop; your notifications; your sign-in codes; and your WhatsApp booking conversations with us. Your mobile number is released, so it can be used to open a new account later.

Kept: if you have taken rides, the record of those rides stays — the date, the route, the distance and the fare — because it is also the driver's own record of their work and part of our accounts, including the route recorded while the ride was running. Your name, number, photo and other personal details are removed from it, so it no longer says who travelled. If you never took a ride, nothing is kept: the account is erased outright. Support requests you raised are also kept, with your name and number removed from them.

Driver accounts

Deleted straight away: every device registered for notifications, so notifications stop. Your account is closed — you are taken offline, removed from ride dispatch, and cannot sign in again. Any active subscription is cancelled, with no refund for the remaining days, and any fare you had offered is withdrawn.

Kept: your completed rides, earnings, invoices and payout records, which we have to keep for financial reconciliation and tax; the documents you uploaded for verification, such as your licence, vehicle papers and identity document, which remain on file as the record of that verification; and your mobile number and licence number, kept so that we recognise you if you register again — a returning driver is not offered the first-registration free period a second time. Access to all of it is restricted to staff who need it.

If you want your driver documents removed as well, write to us using the address below and say so, and we will deal with it case by case against what the law requires us to keep.

Need help, or cannot verify your number?

If you no longer have the SIM, the code does not arrive, or verification keeps failing, do not keep retrying — contact us instead and we will verify you another way and delete the account for you. Please tell us your account type and the mobile number you used.

You can also delete your account from inside either app, under Profile → Delete account.

How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
